Neo
A minimalist, workflow-first multi-agent coding harness in a single native Go binary that keeps the plan, active work, tool activity, tests and delegated subagent tasks visible in one terminal, running against Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter models.
Neo is a coding harness that turns complex repository work into a visible workflow inside one terminal: the plan, active work, tool activity, tests and delegated subagent tasks stay on screen instead of scrolling past as chat. A single coordinator delegates bounded work to focused subagents, running independent reads, searches and inspection tasks in parallel, and folds their evidence back into one coherent workflow.
It runs against Anthropic by default, or OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter, and models can be switched for the active provider without leaving the terminal; sandboxed execution can contain tool calls and optionally require confirmation for selected interactive commands, and active work can be steered or queued at any time. It follows a repository's own AGENTS.md instructions and reusable skills placed under .neo/skills/, and ships built-in design, plan, build and review skills that can each be replaced.
It installs with a shell script that downloads the matching GitHub release and verifies its checksum, is a single native Go binary with no plugin runtime, and reads an ANTHROPIC_API_KEY environment variable or a small neo.yaml configuration file for another provider.
