Neon MCP Server

Neon MCP Server is a remote Model Context Protocol server that bridges natural-language requests to the Neon API, translating a request such as creating a database, adding a table, or altering a table's columns into the necessary Neon API calls. It supports creating projects and branches, running queries, performing schema migrations through Neon's branching feature, and summarizing what data exists across a user's projects.

The project's documentation recommends it only for local development and IDE integration, not production environments, and warns that its database management actions are strong enough that every action an LLM requests should be reviewed and authorized before it runs, with access limited to authorized users and applications.

It is written in TypeScript and can be set up with a quick API-key flow in clients such as Cursor, VS Code and Claude Code.
