NodeSpace

A local-first knowledge base with semantic search built for AI coding assistants, so they can query project knowledge directly instead of re-scanning files or being re-explained the codebase every session.

NodeSpace

NodeSpace sits between a developer's project knowledge and their AI tools, letting agents query it through a skill instead of scanning files with grep or ripgrep, which the project describes as cutting round trips by roughly 80 percent.

It runs entirely on the local machine, with no cloud accounts or API calls and no data leaving localhost, and works offline on a plane or behind a VPN.

It ships as a signed, notarized macOS app for Apple Silicon, with Windows and Linux builds (the Linux build is CLI and daemon only so far), or can be built from source with Bun and Rust through Tauri. A separate paid tier adds end-to-end encrypted cloud sync of the same local-first graph across devices.
