nuphus-mcp
A lightweight, cross-platform MCP server that exposes desktop and Chrome browser automation as standard tools, letting any MCP client control the screen, windows, mouse, keyboard, and Chrome over stdio JSON-RPC.
nuphus-mcp is a single-binary MCP server that gives an AI agent computer-use capabilities without a daemon or network service: it speaks JSON-RPC 2.0 over stdio, so Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Copilot, or any MCP client can connect and immediately control the screen, windows, keyboard and mouse, and Chrome.
It exposes forty-five tools split between desktop automation -- screenshots, window listing and control, mouse and keyboard input, and clipboard access, built on a Rust crate with no Tauri dependency -- and Chrome automation over the Chrome DevTools Protocol. A semantic-desktop mode adds tools that drive native UI through the platform accessibility tree instead of pixel coordinates. Local OCR is built in, and vision features can use an OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic vision model with the user's own key.
It needs no API key for the automation itself, and is distinct from the vendor-specific plugin used with DeepSeek Harness.
