ObjectBox Java

An on-device database and vector database for Java and Kotlin applications on Android and the JVM, aimed at storing objects and their vector embeddings for local, on-device search.

ObjectBox Java

ObjectBox Java is an embedded database for Java and Kotlin applications running on Android or on the JVM on Linux, macOS, or Windows. It stores plain objects in boxes rather than requiring SQL, with built-in support for relations between objects, and can manage vector data alongside those objects to support on-device vector search for retrieval-augmented generation and similarity search use cases.

It targets JVM 8 or newer and Android 5.0 or newer, with dependencies added through Gradle or Maven, and a Gradle plugin for code generation.

It is written in Java and released under the Apache-2.0 license.
