Oh My Cassette
An open-source AI video-editing plugin and local MCP server that turns a folder of raw clips and a plain-language description into a finished, beat-synced cut, driven from Claude Code, Codex, Hermes or OpenCode.
Oh My Cassette watches every clip in a folder, picks shots, plans a cut, syncs it to music, and renders a finished video, all from a natural-language description typed into a connected coding agent rather than a timeline editor. It matches and syncs music to the footage automatically, and adds subtitles, transitions and picture-in-picture.
Every turn returns a timeline digest and a contact sheet for review before anything renders, so the agent's edit plan is approved before a frame is produced. It requires Python 3.11 to 3.13, ffmpeg, and an account with the hosted Cassette rendering service that the plugin talks to.
It installs as a plugin for Claude Code, Codex, Hermes Agent or OpenCode, and is written in Python.
