Ollama MCP Server

An MCP server exposing the full Ollama SDK as tools, so Claude Desktop, Cline, and other MCP clients can drive local or Ollama Cloud language models directly.

Ollama MCP Server

Ollama MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that exposes Ollama's SDK functionality, described as 14 tools in total, to MCP-compatible applications such as Claude Desktop and Cline. It supports Ollama Cloud alongside locally running models, letting a single server mix local and cloud models, and adds real-time web search and content fetching through Ollama Cloud.

New tools are discovered automatically without additional configuration, and the project reports high automated test coverage and no runtime dependencies beyond Ollama itself. It installs globally with npm or is added directly to a client's MCP server configuration, for example Claude Desktop's configuration file, using npx to fetch it on demand. The project also points to a separate, complementary skill package from a third-party marketplace that teaches an assistant how to use the exposed tools effectively, rather than only providing the tools themselves.
