oly — Open Relay
A supervision layer that turns long-running or interactive terminal commands, including AI coding agents, into persistent sessions that can be detached from, monitored, and reattached to from anywhere.
A daemon owns each session started with oly rather than the terminal that launched it, so closing the terminal does not kill the process. A user can watch logs, wait for a likely input-needed checkpoint, send text or keystrokes without attaching, or reattach and have buffered output replayed first, and every session's output and lifecycle events persist to disk for an audit trail.
Sessions can be controlled from the CLI, a web UI, or by routing work to other connected nodes, and commands accept an optional session ID, defaulting to the most recently created one when omitted. It installs through npm, Cargo, Homebrew or a prebuilt binary for macOS, Linux or Windows, and describes itself as a supervision layer for long-lived, interactive workloads rather than a replacement terminal. It is licensed MIT and written in Rust.
