OpenAPI MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol server that reads an OpenAPI specification and exposes its endpoints as callable tools, letting an LLM client discover and call a REST API without custom integration code.

OpenAPI MCP Server

OpenAPI MCP Server turns any OpenAPI specification into a set of MCP tools, along with optional MCP prompts and resources, so large language models can discover and call the described REST endpoints. It can run as a quick command-line tool through npx with the API's base URL, specification location and headers passed as arguments, or be imported as a library to build a custom server.

It supports two transports: stdio, for direct integration with clients such as Claude Desktop that manage MCP connections over standard input and output, and streamable HTTP, for web clients or other HTTP-capable systems. Configuration for a stdio client is a small JSON block naming the API's base URL, the specification path or URL, and any authentication headers.
