OpenClacky

A 100% open-source, MIT-licensed AI coding agent designed to match Claude Code's capability at a lower token cost, using bring-your-own-key access to any OpenAI-compatible model.

OpenClacky

OpenClacky is an open-source AI coding agent that aims to match Claude Code's capability while spending noticeably fewer tokens per task, and reports a cost advantage over other open-source agents such as OpenClaw and Hermes on internal common-task benchmarks. It works with any OpenAI-compatible model that the user supplies (bring your own key).

Its cost reductions come from a small core tool set of 16 tools, with additional capability offloaded to a Skill ecosystem behind a single invoke_skill meta-tool; a near-100% cache hit rate from sessions that never restart and an insert-then-compress approach that avoids mutating the system prompt; and idle-time automatic context compression that runs and pre-warms the cache while the user is away. It also supports IM integrations such as Feishu, WeCom, WeChat, Discord, and Telegram, and self-evolving skills.

It is released under the MIT license, and is backed by MiraclePlus, ZhenFund, Sequoia China, and Hillhouse Capital.
