OpenClaude

OpenClaude is an open-source coding-agent CLI that works with cloud and local model providers, including OpenAI-compatible APIs, Gemini, GitHub Models, Codex OAuth, Codex, Ollama and other supported backends. It keeps one terminal-first workflow across providers, covering prompts, tools, agents, MCP, slash commands and streaming output, so switching backends does not mean switching tools.

A /provider command guides setup and saves connection profiles, and a bundled VS Code extension adds launch integration and theme support. Coding-agent workflows such as running shell commands, file tools, grep, glob, agents, tasks and web tools are available from within the CLI. Installation is through npm, requiring Node.js 22 or later, with Bun needed only for building from source; an AUR package is also maintained for Arch Linux users.

Sessions can be resumed by ID or continued from the most recent conversation in the current directory.
