OpenCode

An open-source AI coding agent with a build agent for development work and a read-only plan agent for exploring code, available from an install script or as a desktop app.

OpenCode

OpenCode is an AI coding agent. It has two built-in agents that you switch between with the Tab key: build, a full-access agent for development work, and plan, a read-only agent for analysis and code exploration that denies file edits and asks before running bash commands. A general subagent handles complex searches and multistep tasks.

It installs with a shell script whose install directory can be configured, and a desktop app is available in beta for macOS, Windows and Linux.

OpenCode is written in TypeScript and MIT licensed.
