OpenDeepWiki

A self-hosted platform that turns Git repositories, ZIP archives, or local directories into a searchable, AI-generated documentation and chat knowledge base.

OpenDeepWiki

OpenDeepWiki imports source from Git URLs, uploaded ZIP archives, or approved local directories and generates structured documentation for them: README summaries, project overviews, wiki catalogs, multi-language translations, and mind maps. The generated docs publish on public, SEO-friendly routes and are exposed through repository-scoped MCP endpoints, an embedded chat assistant, and share links, so the same indexed content can be browsed, chatted with, or queried by an agent.

An admin console manages repositories, users, roles, departments, API keys, connected AI providers and models, skills, MCP providers, and background workers that handle repository processing, translation, and scheduled incremental updates, and it supports incoming chat and webhook integrations for Feishu, QQ, WeChat, and Slack. It runs on ASP.NET Core with a Next.js frontend, stores data in SQLite or PostgreSQL, and deploys via Docker Compose.
