OpenDesign

A local-first desktop app that turns an installed AI coding agent into a design tool: it generates prototypes, dashboards, slide decks, images and video from a brief, using a project's own design system, and exports the result as HTML, PDF, PPTX or MP4 files.

OpenDesign

OpenDesign is a local-first desktop app for macOS and Windows that uses an AI coding agent already installed on the machine as its design engine. From a brief, it generates web, desktop and mobile prototypes, live dashboards, slide decks, images, video and motion graphics, previewed in a sandboxed iframe and exported as real HTML, PDF, PPTX or MP4 files rather than through a design-tool canvas.

Its Home, Plugins and Design System pages let a user choose an artifact type, browse and run reusable skills, and extract a brand's visual language into a DESIGN.md design-system document that later projects can reuse. A project's Studio keeps the conversation, generated files and live preview together across the different artifact types.

It runs on Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, DeepSeek Harness and more than twenty other coding-agent CLIs, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint with a user-supplied API key.
