OpenTag

A self-hosted control plane that lets an engineering channel mention a coding agent from Slack, GitHub, GitLab, Linear, or Lark, and have it run Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another agent on a machine you control.

OpenTag

OpenTag gives an engineering channel a persistent teammate that stays reachable through a self-hosted Control Plane even when its paired computer is offline. Mentioning it in Slack queues work; when the paired Runner is ready, it invokes a coding agent through the Agent Client Protocol against the local checkout and reports status, decisions, and evidence back in the same thread.

Source code, local checkouts and worktrees, the coding agent's login and session, and GitHub credentials stay on the Runner. Slack credentials and the Control Plane's own service credentials stay on the Control Plane, so the system keeps coordination state rather than a copy of the development machine.

It is self-hosted with Docker Compose and PostgreSQL, and the Runner is installed and paired through a CLI.
