Orkas

An open-source, local-first desktop app where a commander model plans a goal and coordinates a team of specialist agents, including a repo-aware coding agent, running your own installed coding CLIs as local sessions with your own model keys.

Orkas

Orkas is a local-first, multi-agent desktop app: a user states a goal, and a Commander model plans the work, handles general parts itself, and coordinates specialist agents in parallel or in sequence to produce finished files on disk. Nine specialist agents ship ready to use, covering evidence-grounded research, content writing, slide deck generation, repo-aware software development, Office document editing, video and image production, UI design from a PRD or Figma material, and a technical and content SEO audit agent, out of thirty available in a marketplace.

Its ProductDeveloper agent can also run the user's own installed coding CLIs, such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw or Hermes, as local sessions rather than reimplementing coding itself. Users bring their own API keys for models including Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM, Qwen, MiniMax and Doubao.

It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, is written in TypeScript, and is released under the MIT license.
