OSA: the Optimal System Agent

A terminal AI agent, built on Elixir/OTP with a Rust interface, that classifies a request, filters out noise, and routes work to the right model, supporting any provider including an existing subscription.

OSA: the Optimal System Agent

Built on what the project calls Signal Theory, OSA classifies what the user is asking for and routes it to the appropriate model rather than always using the same one, working proactively across code, operations tasks and everyday busywork. It ships as a self-contained release bundling its own Elixir and OTP runtime plus a prebuilt Rust terminal interface, so no separate Elixir, Erlang or Rust toolchain is required to install it, with prebuilt targets for Linux x64, Apple Silicon macOS and Windows x64; a from-source script covers other platforms such as Intel Macs.

The installer verifies a checksum before unpacking the release and adding the command to the user's path, and first run walks through picking a provider, including a local Ollama default, before dropping into a chat interface. It includes 82 built-in tools that are loaded only when needed, cross-session memory, and durable goals and queues that can recover after an interruption.
