Page Assist

Page Assist is an open-source browser extension that provides a sidebar and a web UI for a locally running AI model, letting a user interact with their model from any webpage. It supports Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Brave and Edge, as well as Firefox.

A sidebar opens on any page for interacting with the model and viewing results, a separate web UI offers a ChatGPT-like experience, and a "Chat With Webpage" feature lets a user ask questions about the content of the page they are viewing. It is built to work with Ollama as a local AI provider, or any OpenAI API-compatible endpoint such as LM Studio or llamafile.

The extension is built with Bun and can be built manually for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, then loaded as an unpacked or temporary extension for development.
