Pake

A Rust and Tauri command-line tool that packages any webpage into a small, native desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux.

Pake

Pake turns a webpage into a desktop application with a single command, producing installers for macOS, Windows and Linux. Built on Rust and Tauri instead of Electron, its installers are reported to be about twenty times smaller than equivalent Electron packages, typically under 10 MB, and the resulting apps are said to use less memory and run faster than Electron-based equivalents.

Packaging is done through a command-line tool or an online build service, with support for custom icons, window settings, shortcuts, immersive windows, drag and drop, and style customization such as ad removal. The project also distributes a set of ready-made packages for popular sites such as YouTube, ChatGPT, Gemini, Notion and Excalidraw, for users who do not want to package a site themselves. Advanced users can clone the repository to customize the packaging process further.
