Pendant

A VS Code extension that brings the Pi coding agent into a sidebar and editor tabs, reusing the user's existing Pi configuration, extensions, skills, and models.

Pendant

Pendant integrates the Pi coding agent directly into Visual Studio Code as a sidebar and editor-tab experience, rather than a separate terminal session. It loads the user's existing Pi configuration, extensions, skills, and prompts, and works with any model available in that Pi setup, from local models to hosted frontier models.

Around the core agent, it adds editor-aware context, letting a user attach files, folders, selections, diagnostics, images, and git state without copying and pasting, and a richer chat interface that follows streaming tool calls, diffs, plans, subagents, Mermaid diagrams, MathJax, and extension widgets. Sessions are persistent and can be pinned, searched, reordered, forked, steered, and queued from the sidebar or editor tabs. It supports local, on-device voice dictation, and the project states it adds no hosted proxy, telemetry, or remote crash reporting of its own. It works with VS Code, VSCodium, and compatible editors on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
