PI-Desktop

A modular desktop workspace where AI coding agents, models, plugins and workflows live together, so a developer can extend it with panels, tools, MCP servers and background services.

PI-Desktop

PI-Desktop is a desktop app that gives AI agents an independent, persistent workspace instead of tying them to one IDE or terminal. Projects, sessions, reviews, previews and agents all live together, and a user can delegate to subagents or coordinate parallel worker sessions.

Its core stays small; a plugin can add commands, panels, work-panel views, floating widgets, themes, agent tools, skills, MCP servers, and resident background services. It connects to cloud models, local models, or custom gateways, so a workflow does not need to be rebuilt when the model changes.

It is built with Electron and a Rust host core, and runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, currently in an early 0.15.x preview release; it is licensed under LGPL-3.0.
