PIA (Programmable Intelligence Agent)

A native terminal coding agent built entirely in Rust, aiming for a small memory footprint and no runtime overhead, with a scriptable extension engine, discoverable skills, and deterministic memory handling for long-running sessions.

PIA (Programmable Intelligence Agent)

PIA is a terminal coding agent written entirely in Rust as a single static binary, with no virtual machine, garbage collector, Node.js, Electron or Python virtual environment involved. It combines a minimalist interface that opens straight into the active prompt with an embedded Rhai scripting engine that lets a developer write custom tools and lifecycle hooks without recompiling or setting up another language runtime.

It discovers and runs modular skills from files in a project or global catalog with fuzzy slash-command autocomplete, and is built for long-running, multi-step refactoring sessions through bounded streaming buffers, early cutoffs on read and shell output, and strict subprocess lifecycle control, including killing child processes on exit and queuing follow-up input while a tool is still running.

A native macOS app that shows Claude Code runs as a city, with each project as a building, each team as a floor of robots, and every animation driven by a real event from the claude CLI's stream.

  • rig

    tryrig.ai

A small, single-binary agent runtime that points at any OpenAI-compatible model, local or hosted, reads and edits a repository's code, runs its tests and remembers what it learned, with a loop implemented in a few hundred lines.

  • Jauvex

    jauvex.reindent.com

An Electron desktop app that puts Claude Code, Codex and Grok coding-agent sessions side by side and lets you steer them by voice, with a small model handling fast routing decisions.
