Plane MCP Server

Plane's official Model Context Protocol server, giving an AI agent 30 tools across 207 operations to read and manage Plane projects, work items, cycles, modules, releases and customers.

Plane MCP Server

This is Plane's official MCP server, built on FastMCP and the official plane-sdk, exposing one tool per Plane resource, 30 tools covering 207 operations in total, so an AI agent can read and manage work items, cycles, modules, releases, customers and more. Each tool takes an action parameter selecting the specific operation, and every tool's description lists its available actions with required and optional parameters, making the tool catalog self-documenting at call time.

It runs locally over stdio with an API key, or remotely over HTTP with OAuth or a personal access token, including a hosted endpoint at mcp.plane.so; clients without native remote MCP support can bridge through mcp-remote. It works against both Plane's hosted service and a self-hosted Plane instance, and requires Python 3.10 or newer for the local stdio path.
