PMB
A local-first memory system for AI coding agents that keeps decisions, lessons and facts in a single SQLite file on the user's disk and feeds them back to Claude Code, Cursor or Codex over MCP without any cloud call.
PMB stores what a developer has already explained to their coding agent, such as project decisions, lessons and personal facts, so it survives restarts, model upgrades and switching agents, with SQLite as the durable source of truth and rebuildable search indexes alongside it. Reading memory back makes no LLM call, keeping recall fast and free of API costs, and the project reports measuring, rather than only claiming, how much memory actually helps.
On Claude Code and Codex, hooks inject relevant memory before the model starts reasoning, so a developer does not need to remember to call a tool. The embedding model covers more than 50 languages, so a query in one language can find a fact stored in another. A single connect command wires up Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, Zed, VS Code and other MCP-aware agents, and the CLI is available under either of two command names depending on whether it was installed with pip or npm.
