Postman MCP Server implements the Model Context Protocol to connect AI agents and coding assistants, including Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, GitHub Copilot CLI and Gemini CLI, directly to a user's Postman workspaces, collections, API specifications and environments.
It ships four tool configurations: Minimal, the default, for basic operations on a single collection, workspace or environment; Code, for generating client code from public and internal API definitions; Full, with more than 100 tools for advanced collaboration and Postman's enterprise features; and Learn, which searches Postman's documentation for guides and reference material.
It runs as a hosted remote server reached over OAuth or an API key, or locally as an npm package authenticated with a Postman API key, with a companion Postman collection for browsing and testing its tools.
