Prometheus MCP Server

An MCP server that lets AI assistants query and analyze Prometheus metrics through standardized interfaces, running PromQL queries against a configured Prometheus server.

Prometheus MCP Server

Prometheus MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants access to a Prometheus server's metrics and queries, letting a client such as Claude Desktop, VS Code, Cursor or Windsurf execute PromQL queries and analyze the resulting metrics data. It reads a configured Prometheus URL, with optional username and password authentication.

It can be installed as a Docker container run directly, through the Claude Code CLI, added to an MCP settings file for VS Code, Cursor or Windsurf, discovered through Docker Desktop's MCP Catalog or MCP Toolkit, or deployed to Kubernetes with a published Helm chart.
