Publify

A self-hosted Ruby on Rails web publishing platform built around a multi-user blogging engine, following IndieWeb principles of hosting and syndicating your own content.

Publify

Publify, formerly known as Typo, is a Ruby on Rails web publishing application built around a classic multi-user blogging engine with a small Twitter-connected short-message system. It supports text filters such as Markdown and SmartyPants, @mention and #hashtag linking, a widget system with a plugin API, custom themes, SEO features, and translations into more than a dozen languages.

It follows IndieWeb principles: publish on your own site, syndicate everywhere. It has been an active Ruby on Rails open-source project since 2004.

It requires Ruby, Ruby on Rails 5.2, a database (MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite3), a JavaScript runtime for asset compilation, and ImageMagick, and can be installed locally, on a server via Capistrano, or on Heroku with S3 storage for uploads.
