Py Agent

Py Agent is a terminal-based coding-agent harness written in Python that drives a C++ llama-server backend for local inference, alongside cloud gateways such as Hugging Face and OpenRouter. It presents an interactive command-line interface where a user can issue single queries, hold multi-turn chats, or start an autonomous workspace session that operates on a project directory.

The tool distinguishes between small, fast tool-calling models suited to shell tasks and single-turn edits, and larger models suited to deep reasoning and multi-file refactoring, and lets the user switch between them from the terminal. It includes tool adapters that can recover from failures, an interactive confirmation gate before running system commands such as sudo or a package manager, and workspace and global memory files that agents can read.
