React Grab

A developer tool that turns a browser element selection into source-code context an AI coding agent can use, pointing it straight to the component and file behind what was clicked.

React Grab

React Grab lets a developer hover any UI element in a React app, press a keyboard shortcut, and copy that element's component stack with exact source file locations, ready to paste into a coding agent. The project reports that agents are twice as fast and more accurate when given this copied context compared with a plain screenshot or description.

It installs with a single init command at a project's root for automatic setup, or manually for Next.js (App or Pages router), Vite or Webpack by importing it in development mode. A companion primitives package exposes the same selection engine -- hit testing, source context, page freezing, clipboard access and editor navigation -- for building a custom picker interface, including scoping hit testing to a container or excluding specific elements.
