RepoPrompt CE

A free, open-source native macOS app that assembles focused, reviewable code context, files, structure maps and Git diffs, for AI coding agents, and bundles an MCP server so several agents can share a native orchestration interface.

RepoPrompt CE

RepoPrompt CE helps coding agents understand a codebase before they act by assembling focused, reviewable context from files, CodeMaps, repository structure and Git diffs, then handing that context to AI tools and CLI agents. It builds an agent harness around its bundled MCP server, so MCP-compatible clients and CLI agents can search repositories, inspect files, curate context, run agent sessions and orchestrate work through a shared native macOS interface.

It installs as a signed, notarized app through a dedicated Homebrew tap, or can be built and launched locally from source for development, with a launcher script that builds the app through a coordinated developer daemon and keeps a small terminal window for rebuild, status and stop controls.

It is a community edition of the commercial RepoPrompt app, distributed separately with its own installer and update channel.
