RocketMQ-Rust
An unofficial Rust reimplementation of Apache RocketMQ, a distributed message queue, aiming for memory safety and high throughput while staying compatible with the RocketMQ protocol.
RocketMQ-Rust is a from-scratch reimplementation of Apache RocketMQ in Rust, built to bring an enterprise-grade message queue to the Rust ecosystem with memory safety, zero-cost abstractions and safe concurrency. It follows RocketMQ's distributed architecture, with a lightweight name server for service discovery and routing, a broker that stores and delivers messages across topics, queues and consumer groups, dedicated producer and consumer clients, a storage engine optimized for sequential writes, and a controller for high availability and failover.
It targets Linux, Windows and macOS, integrates with the Rust ecosystem including Tokio and Serde, and adds AI agent, MCP and AI-SRE capabilities on top of standard messaging. It requires Rust 1.95 or later to build.
