RocksDB

An embeddable, persistent key-value store library optimized for flash and RAM storage, built for high write and read throughput at multi-terabyte scale.

RocksDB

RocksDB is a library providing an embeddable, persistent key-value store, developed and maintained by Facebook's database engineering team and built on earlier work on LevelDB. It forms the core building block for a fast key-value server, and is especially suited to storing data on flash drives.

The store uses a log-structured-merge design with flexible tradeoffs between write amplification, read amplification and space amplification, and supports multi-threaded compactions, making it suitable for storing multiple terabytes of data in a single database. Its public interface lives under the include/ directory; other header files are internal and may change without notice.

The project ships example usage in the repository, and is dual-licensed under GPLv2 and Apache 2.0, letting users choose either license.
