SearchCLI

An open command-line tool for integrating Volcengine's AI search, recommendation, and conversational retrieval into agent systems and business systems.

SearchCLI

SearchCLI is the open command-line interface for AI Search on Volcengine, giving agent systems and business systems a stable, tunable path to production search, recommendation, and conversational retrieval. Through installable "Viking skills," an external agent can onboard data, build and validate search and recommendation flows, run conversational retrieval, tune strategy configuration, inspect bad cases, and iterate on retrieval quality in a reviewable way.

It provides item and catalog search over structured business data, recommendation flows tied to application scenes and user behavior, and conversational retrieval grounded in application search, with dry-run, confirmation-gated, and read-after-write-verified command execution intended to be safe for agent-driven automation. Core commands cover application and dataset management (vs dataset, vs app, vs data), runtime verification (vs search run, vs recommend run, vs chat run), and search-strategy tuning.

It is written in TypeScript and released under the Apache-2.0 license, and its documentation and community support are available in thirteen languages.
