Shebe

Shebe is a fast, local BM25 full-text search tool for cloned code repositories, exposed to AI coding agents through an MCP server and a CLI, with no embeddings, GPU or cloud dependency.

Shebe

Shebe indexes a locally cloned repository and searches it with BM25 keyword ranking rather than vector embeddings, aiming for millisecond query latency and indexing thousands of files per second. It supports ranked, boolean and hybrid queries, and is meant to complement tools such as ripgrep for exact matches and AST-aware tools for structural refactoring, rather than replace them.

It ships as two binaries: a command-line tool and an MCP server exposing fourteen tools for coding agents, with cursor-based pagination for large result sets. It has no support for remote repository URLs or semantic similarity search; those need a separate vector search tool.

It is written in Rust and is offered as a free, local alternative to hosted code-search services.

  • ForensicDbg

    forensicdbg.com

A post-mortem debugger for native Windows x86 and x64 crashes, with an MCP interface so AI tools can consume crash-dump analysis directly.
