Shelley

Shelley is a mobile-friendly, web-based coding agent for exe.dev that supports multiple simultaneous conversations, multiple models and multimodal input such as screenshots, and leaves authorization and sandboxing to whoever runs it.

Shelley

Shelley is a web-based coding agent built for exe.dev but not limited to it. It is mobile-friendly and multi-conversation, so a user can start or check on a task from a phone, and multimodal, handling screenshots, charts and graphs alongside text. It supports multiple language models and is designed for a single user; it does not provide its own authorization or sandboxing, so a deployment must supply that itself.

Its backend is written in Go with SQLite for storage; the frontend is TypeScript with Vue 3 and PrimeVue. Conversations contain messages from the user, the model, tools or the harness itself, all persisted to the database, with a Server-Sent Events endpoint keeping the UI updated live.

Shelley is partly based on the same team's earlier coding agent, Sketch, and releases are created automatically on every commit to the main branch. It is released under the Apache license.
