sidekick.nvim

sidekick.nvim is a Neovim plugin that integrates Copilot LSP's Next Edit Suggestions with a built-in terminal for AI command-line tools, letting a developer review and apply diffs and chat with an AI assistant without leaving the editor. Suggestions fetch automatically when typing pauses or the cursor moves, and rich, syntax-highlighted diffs can be navigated hunk by hunk before being applied.

Its integrated terminal gives direct, pre-configured access to CLIs such as Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Copilot CLI, automatically includes file content, cursor position, and diagnostics in prompts, offers a library of prompts for common tasks, and keeps CLI sessions alive across editor restarts through tmux or zellij integration. Files edited externally by an AI tool are reloaded in Neovim automatically.

It requires Neovim 0.11.2 or newer and the official Copilot LSP server, and is released under the Apache License 2.0.
