SonarQube MCP Server

SonarQube MCP Server is an official Model Context Protocol server that connects an AI coding agent to SonarQube Server or SonarQube Cloud for code quality and security analysis, including snippets analyzed directly in the agent's context.

SonarQube MCP Server

SonarQube MCP Server is SonarSource's official MCP server, letting an AI agent request SonarQube's code quality and security analysis as part of its normal workflow, including analysis of a code snippet passed directly in context rather than from a full project scan.

It ships as a container image, run through Docker, Podman or another OCI-compatible runtime, either pulled with automatic updates or pinned to a specific version tag for reproducible deployments. An interactive configuration generator produces ready-to-use setup for a chosen AI agent client, and the server is also available directly from the Antigravity MCP Store. Manual setup connects it to either SonarQube Cloud, with an organization key, or a self-hosted SonarQube Server, with its own URL, using a SonarQube user token supplied through configuration or an environment variable rather than a command-line argument.

It is written in Java.
