StarRocks Official MCP Server

The official MCP server for StarRocks, letting an AI assistant run SQL, explore schemas, and chart query results against a StarRocks database.

StarRocks Official MCP Server

The StarRocks MCP Server bridges AI assistants and StarRocks databases without requiring separate client-side setup. It supports running SELECT queries and DDL or DML statements, listing databases and tables, and retrieving table schemas as resources.

It also exposes internal StarRocks metrics and state through a resource path, provides detailed overviews of tables and databases including column definitions, row counts, and sample data, and can execute a query and render the results as a chart. Table and database overviews are cached in memory to speed up repeated requests, with an option to bypass the cache. The server targets Python 3.11 or newer, is normally launched through the uv package and project manager, which resolves dependencies and creates an isolated environment automatically, and connects by default to a StarRocks cluster on localhost over the MySQL protocol.
