Subroute

A local AI gateway and desktop control desk that gives coding tools one steady endpoint, so switching between AI subscriptions, API providers and local models doesn't mean reconfiguring every client.

Subroute

Compatible clients point at a fixed local endpoint with the model set to "current"; the actual provider and model are chosen centrally from a browser or desktop control desk, so changing the route never requires updating each tool again.

LiteLLM handles the public API protocols, streaming and provider adapters underneath; Subroute adds the local routing policy, configured subscription integrations, connection status per provider, and the control desk itself. An Electron app adds a native shell and optional coding-agent launch helpers on top of the same control desk.

It runs locally with Docker Compose, with credentials supplied as environment variables for the providers in use.
