Sverklo
A local-first MCP server that gives a coding agent repo memory before it edits: symbols, callers, dependencies, diff-aware review context and decisions pinned to specific commits.
Sverklo gives a coding agent memory of a repository's structure before it starts editing: symbols and their callers, dependencies, related tests, the risk carried by a diff, and prior decisions pinned to a git commit. It is an open-source, local-first Model Context Protocol server for Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex CLI and any other MCP-speaking coding agent, meant for situations where an agent needs to understand relationships in the code rather than search for an exact string it already knows.
A no-write proof command shows, before any configuration file is touched, a central file in the project, a real symbol with its callers, why that particular proof was chosen, and the prompt to hand to an agent; only after that does an init command write the MCP configuration and append local instructions to the project's agent instructions file. Bundled local embeddings are used by default, so code indexing stays on the machine unless a remote embedding provider is explicitly configured, and telemetry is off by default.
