swe-mux

A terminal multiplexer and control plane for running several coding-agent CLIs side by side, reachable from a phone over the user's own Tailscale network, with live status, messages between sessions and shared editing keymaps.

swe-mux

swe-mux keeps coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex running side by side, with live status, flexible panes and messages passed between sessions. The same live sessions can be opened on a phone over the user's own Tailscale network, giving access to terminals, git review, files, local previews and push alerts rather than a separate companion app.

It shows which agent needs attention through live status, an alert history and per-event sounds, supports familiar input through shared editing behaviour and workspace keymaps for tmux, VS Code, Vim and Emacs, and can use local speech recognition to dictate prompts and read replies aloud. Sessions can coordinate through messages and progress reports governed by project permissions, and a separate supervisor keeps them running across daemon restarts and application updates.

Agent CLIs run under the user's existing subscriptions in real terminals on the user's own machine, with no swe-mux account or vendor-operated backend; agent providers and optional integrations still reach the network.
