Talk to Figma MCP

An MCP integration that lets AI coding agents such as Cursor and Claude Code read and modify Figma designs programmatically through a Figma plugin.

Talk to Figma MCP

Talk to Figma MCP connects an AI agent to Figma through three pieces: a TypeScript MCP server, a Figma plugin, and a WebSocket server that relays messages between them. Once set up, an agent can read the contents of a Figma file and make changes to it directly, including bulk text content replacement and propagating instance overrides from a source component instance to many target instances with a single command.

Setup installs the MCP server into a coding agent's configuration, starts the WebSocket relay, and loads the companion plugin from the Figma community page or a local build. It includes a guide for running the WebSocket server under Windows and WSL.

It is written in TypeScript and JavaScript and distributed under the MIT license.
