TalkCody

A free, open-source AI coding agent, built with Rust and Tauri, that runs any model provider, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or local models such as Ollama or LM Studio, and executes projects with four levels of parallelism, entirely on the local machine.

TalkCody

TalkCody runs project, task, agent and tool levels of work in parallel rather than sequentially, storing all data, conversations and code locally so code never leaves the machine; it can also work fully offline against Ollama or LM Studio. Nine ways to use it are free, including local models and free tiers, and existing ChatGPT Plus/Pro or GitHub Copilot subscriptions can be used through it as well.

It accepts multimodal input, text, voice, images and files, together in one request, supports MCP servers to extend its capabilities, and includes an agents-and-skills marketplace for downloading and sharing community workflows and specialized agents. System prompts, agents, tools and MCP servers are all configurable, and a built-in terminal runs commands without switching windows.

It ships as a downloadable desktop application for macOS, Windows and Linux.
