Termio
A terminal-first development environment for coding agents that runs each agent's session in a background daemon so it can be detached, reattached from another device, or run remotely over SSH.
Termio is a macOS terminal application built around running CLI coding agents, such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and others, and telling the user which one needs attention. Each session's shell lives in a daemon called termiod, so closing the app only detaches it; reopening Termio, or reattaching from an iPhone companion app, restores the exact same process and scrollback. A session reports whether it is working, idle or needs the user, shown in the sidebar, a menu-bar tray, and on the phone.
It positions itself as an alternative to tmux, and adds git-worktree-aware project organization, split panes, a read-only diff pane for reviewing changes, a file editor with syntax highlighting and autosave, and project-wide search.
For remote use, Termio can install its daemon and each agent's hooks onto any Linux server reachable over SSH, reading the existing SSH configuration without rewriting it; local and remote sessions are then driven through the same interface, and dropping the connection leaves the agent running until the user reattaches. It is free for macOS 14 and later, distributed directly or through Homebrew, with a companion iPhone app in beta.
