The Pair

A free, open-source desktop app that runs two AI coding agents together — a read-only Mentor that plans and reviews, and an Executor that writes code and runs commands — so each checks the other's work.

The Pair

The Pair is a desktop application for macOS, Windows and Linux that pairs two AI coding agents on the same task: a Mentor agent that plans, reviews and validates without making changes, and an Executor agent that writes code and runs commands. The two cross-check each other's work, aiming to catch mistakes that a single agent reviewing its own output would miss.

It is model-agnostic, mixing and matching provider CLIs such as opencode, Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Kimi Code, Pi, Kiro, Aider, Grok Build and Muse Code, plus local models through Ollama, and offers both a desktop interface and a terminal CLI.
