The Unofficial and Awesome Home Assistant MCP Server

ha-mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Home Assistant. It exposes smart-home devices, entity states, services and automations to AI assistants so they can be controlled and queried using natural language.

The recommended install is a custom Home Assistant component distributed through HACS, which runs the server in-process and works across every Home Assistant installation type, including OS, Supervised, Container and Core, without a separate access token. A settings panel in the Home Assistant sidebar lets an admin manage the connection, and remote access can be exposed through a webhook URL or reached directly on the local network.
