ToolFunnel
A dependency-free MCP and local tool gateway that curates and forwards tools from multiple MCP servers into one leaner interface, gates every call through a user's own policy hooks, and can package new MCP servers with no code.
ToolFunnel sits between an AI agent and its tools, connecting to multiple MCP servers, letting a user select which of their tools are exposed at any moment, and forwarding only that leaner set to the agent instead of every connected server's full schema list, which otherwise costs tokens and clutters the model's context on every turn. MCP servers can be wired up and tested live in a running session, with their tools appearing in the tool list immediately, without restarting the client.
A policy gate runs every tool call through the user's own hooks before it executes, and because the hooks travel with the tools rather than living inside a specific host CLI, the same governance rules carry over when a user switches between different agent clients. A packaging feature turns ordinary scripts, in any language, into a named MCP server with no additional code, and the same gateway can wrap an existing MCP server so it speaks both the older and newer protocol eras without the caller noticing the difference. It has a web interface for toggling tools and servers per workflow.
