TrashClaw

A general-purpose local tool-use agent with no cloud dependency, built to run on old or unusual hardware against any local LLM server, offering shell, git, file and web tools through a single dependency-free Python script.

TrashClaw

TrashClaw is a tool-use agent: it reads a task description, decides which of its built-in tools to call, observes the results, and iterates until the task is done, covering files, shell commands, git, web requests, clipboard access and patches.

It ships as a single Python file with fourteen built-in tools, twenty-one interactive commands and a plugin system, and needs nothing beyond Python 3.7's standard library and a running local LLM server, whether that is Ollama or any other OpenAI-compatible endpoint. The project is built to run on old or unconventional hardware, from a 2013 Mac Pro to a PowerBook G4 or an IBM POWER8 system.

It is MIT licensed.
