Trigger.dev

Trigger.dev is an open-source platform for building AI agents and background workflows in TypeScript, deployed as long-running tasks with retries, queues, observability and elastic scaling, and no execution timeouts.

Tasks run with durable retries, queues and idempotency, can use system packages such as browsers, Python scripts or FFmpeg, and can pause to wait for a human to approve, reject or give feedback at a decision point. Runs can be subscribed to in real time, including streaming a language model's response to a frontend, and each run gets full tracing and logs with configurable error alerts.

It provides a JavaScript and TypeScript SDK, durable cron schedules of up to a year, React hooks for the frontend, batch triggering, structured input and output schemas with runtime validation, and preview branches that integrate with Vercel and git workflows for isolated testing. It can also be self-hosted.

  • Vyral

    openvyral.com

An open-source, local-first contract layer and runtime for applications that need canonical data storage, retrieval and RAG, and durable execution, without locking application code to one cloud provider.
