Ultimate MCP Client
An asynchronous Python client for the Model Context Protocol with an interactive CLI and a reactive web UI, connecting AI models to MCP servers over stdio and SSE.
Ultimate MCP Client is an asynchronous client for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that connects models such as Claude to external tools, servers and contextual data sources over stdio, SSE and streaming HTTP transports, with resilience and error handling built in.
It offers two interfaces: a web UI built with Alpine.js, DaisyUI and Tailwind CSS with real-time streaming chat, a visual conversation branching view and multiple themes, and a feature-rich interactive CLI with autocompletion, Rich markdown rendering and a live Textual TUI dashboard for monitoring. Conversation state goes beyond simple history with forkable conversation graphs and persistent state across sessions.
It provides OpenTelemetry metrics and traces for observability, and can discover servers through the local filesystem, mDNS, local port scans, remote registries, or existing configuration from apps such as Claude Desktop. It is written in Python.
